Senior Software Engineer (Node.js)

Belgium
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

As a Senior Node.js Integration Engineer, you'll design and build the integrations that connect our broadcast automation platform to the broader ecosystem of third-party systems our clients depend on. You'll work API-first, with a path toward MCP-based AI-driven workflows — and you'll play a key role in decoupling our core services to make our architecture more modular and resilient.

Beyond the code itself, you'll set the technical direction for how we approach integrations, and help the engineers around you grow into that same way of thinking.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain integrations between our platform and third-party broadcast systems
  • Build and consume REST APIs with clean, well-defined integration contracts
  • Lead the decoupling of core services toward a more modular, service-oriented architecture
  • Work with event-driven systems and async patterns to ensure reliability under pressure
  • Set technical direction on integration architecture, and mentor engineers as the team grows
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate real broadcast needs into solid technical solutions
  • Help shape the path toward MCP-based, AI-driven workflow automation

Your profile

  • Strong Node.js and TypeScript skills — you write clean, testable, production-ready code
  • Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs — you know what a good integration contract looks like
  • Comfortable working in a service-oriented or microservices architecture
  • Familiar with event-driven systems and async patterns
  • You understand the business side behind what you build, and can help steer product and technical decisions accordingly
  • You've led or mentored other engineers before, and know how to bring a team along on a technical direction
  • You take ownership — deadlines matter in broadcast, and you get that
  • Open to travel to the US sometimes
  • Experience with MCP or AI tooling is a plus, not a requirement
