Software Engineer (Node.js & Svelte)

Your mission

We’re Cuez and we’re reshaping the world of live broadcasting through our innovative SaaS tools used by production teams around the globe: from newsrooms and sports studios to universities, talkshows and events.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll help shape Automator, our tool that connects broadcast hardware and software into one seamless workflow. From cameras and mixers to cloud platforms like vMix, Ember+ or OSC, Automator keeps everything working together reliably. You’ll build and maintain services and integrations that production teams depend on daily, turning complex setups into simple, robust solutions for the people running live shows behind the cameras and in control rooms.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of integrating our Automator product with a diverse range of broadcast equipment and software systems, ensuring seamless compatibility and functionality.
Build, maintain and optimize our Node.js–based backend systems that power live broadcasting worldwide.
Troubleshoot issues under pressure: when things break, you’ll help ensure our systems recover smoothly.
Handle bug reports with precision, from initial diagnosis to resolution, effectively communicating with clients and stakeholders and providing timely feedback.
Engage in regular meetings with clients and stakeholders to understand their integration needs, gather feedback and ensure project success.
Contribute to architecture decisions and technical discussions, bringing your experience to the table.
Create comprehensive documentation for integration processes, ensuring clarity and facilitating knowledge transfer.

Your profile

You have at least 5 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Node.js.
You have a solid theoretical background and a deep understanding of technology, especially in software integration.
You’re comfortable working directly with clients. With your expertise and clear communication you build trust during client conversations.
When challenges arise, you bring focus and determination to get things back on track.
You’re based in Belgium and can join our Leuven office (De Hoorn) at least 2 days per week.

Electron
Observability
MongoDB
PHP
Svelte and/or Vue
Docker
Broadcasting knowledge
